The terms “fellowship” and “social gatherings” are often used interchangeably, but in the Bible, the word “fellowship” comes from the word Koinonia. Koinonia is a Greek word which involves something much deeper and stronger than just social gatherings - it involves active participation in the Christian community and is a way of life for Christians to help and support each other to grow spiritually.
Relationships formed at churches often times are limited within the weekend. Hanmaum English Ministry serves to promote community and fellowship outside of church in order to extend and grow deeper relationships beyond Sundays. As a body of Christ, not only do we want to be a community, but also a place to provide opportunities to serve the church. We hope that Hanmaum EM can be a place where we can witness each other’s spiritual journeys with God.
